1980 Honda CM400A Honda-Matic 2 speed, Collector plated

We are pleased to offer this beautiful 1980 Honda CM400A. The “A” stands for Automatic. This was Collector plated with very cheap insurance for the year.
The CM400A has a two-speed fluid drive that requires but two shifts to go from neutral to low and on to high gear.
Riding a CM400A is about as easy as any full-size motorcycle could ever be — after a short warm-up, push in the choke, click the foot shifter up from neutral one spot and you’re in first gear.
Electric start with kick-start backup means you’re never left stranded.
This bike has been in our shop family for 10+ years and has received a ton of work and upgrades!
We’ve set this up a little lower than stock with a 28″ seat height for people with shorter inseams. The seat is incredibly comfortable for long or short rides.
The rear shocks have been replaced with Progressive Suspension units, fully adjustable. The forks were rebuilt with new seals and fluids. We just installed brand new Dunlop tires front and rear, wheel bearings were also replaced at the same time. Both carbs were removed this summer, ultrasonic cleaned and rebuilt with all new gaskets, seals and all wear parts replaced. Oils and filters were just done as well, it’s ready to ride!
Heated grips have been installed but very well hidden inside the bars. The headlight was been upgraded to a Halogen unit but it retains the stock look. The bike is currently setup with decent size leather saddle bags and a quick detachable windshield with full adjustments.
